The Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is home to the world’s largest parking lot. The Airport has the third largest runway in the world and is the alternate landing site for the space shuttle.

The oldest working Dr Pepper plant (since 1891) is in Dublin, 94 miles west of Waco.

There are more than 70,000 miles of highway in Texas and more than a million signs and markers. The state uses 1.6 million gallons of white and yellow paint each year to paint stripes along its highways.
